Merrill L. Haines

Merrill L. Haines 82, of Meadeville, died Saturday, March 6th at Meadeville Medical Center.  He was born on March 8, 1927 to Milo A. Haines and Lenore Elder Haines in Clarion.  He was married June 3, 1950 to Margaret Jeanne Beatty, who preceded him in death on January 28, 2010.  Visitation will be Wednesday, March 10 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11am in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Lindenmuth, officiating.  Memorials may be sent to Richardsville Cemetery Association, 3643 Hazen Richardsville Rd., Brookville, 15825 or Richardsville Baptist Church, Richardsville Rd., Brookville 15825.

John R. Kerr

John R. Kerr 86, of Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Home for the past five years, a former resident of Cochranton, died March 6, 2010 at the Hamot Medical Center in Erie.  Born in Kingsville, Clarion County on November 11, 1923, to William I. "Nate" Kerr and Josephine V. Keck Kerr, both preceded him in death.  He is survived by his wife Doris Kerr of Clarion.  Friends will be received by the family immediately before mass on Wednesday from 10:30am till the time of the mass at 11am at the St. Nicholas Church in Crates.  A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am Wed. with Fre. Samuel Bungo as celebrant.  Interment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery.  On line condolences may be sent by going to www.goblefh.net.

Primo "Cookie" Racchini

Primo "Cookie" Racchini 97, of Brookville, died Thursday, March 4th at McKinley Health Center.  He was born November 20, 1912 to Joseph Racchini and Madelina Beducci Racchini in Conifer, PA.  He was married August 9, 1941 to Mildred Miloser, who preceded him in death on November 27, 1989.  Visitation will be Sunday, March 7th from 2-4 and 6-8pm at McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville.  Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 11am with Rev. Michael Garvey, officiating.  Memorials may be sent to the charity of one's choice.

Richard J. Davis

Richard J. "Rick", "Flyer" Davis 57, of Reynoldsville, died Tuesday, March 2 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.  He was born January 13, 1953 to Richard C. Davis and Ruth Troutman Davis in Brookville.  Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville.  Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am at the funeral home, with Pastor Henry Scoff, officiating.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd. Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.

David Robert McGurk

David Robert McGurk 72, of Brookville, died Tuesday, March 2 at DuBois Regional Medical Center.  He was the son of George E. McGurk and Hilde Emmetsburg McGurk, born on December 27, 1937 in Pittsburgh.  There will be no visitation, private services will be held by the family.  McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be sent to Venango County Humane Society, Deep Hollow Rd., Franklin, PA 16323.
