A 30-year-old corrections officer at the State Prison in Forest County, who police did not identify, was injured when he was attacked by a known inmate.  The officer was taken to Clarion Hospital for treatment.  Details state that the inmate jumped on the officer's back and began stabbing him with a sharp plastic object.  He was stabbed several times on the back of his head and face.  This took place at S-C-I Forest shortly before 8am on Sunday, February 28th.  State Police say that Aggravated Assault Charges are pending against the inmate.
