There's been a reported theft by deception incident at a business, here in the immediate Clarion area. The victim was the Kwik Fill Red Apple Store, located along Route 68, in Monroe Township. Local State Police say that a known employee was observed, on video, refunding phony sales and then illegally taking money from the cash register. There is no word, at this point, of any dollar estimate of the loss. State troopers say that criminal charges are pending against the suspect, said to be a Strattanville area woman. The theft is said to have taken place early Sunday morning.
